A microburst struck the Keswick, Virginia area in 1989. The storm damaged numerous trees, causing many to be removed. There was a need to repair damaged trees and to replant. Thus, Habitat Services began.
The mission became to empower property owners to be good stewards of the land. Subsequently, Habitat Services offers arboriculture and other services associated with urban forestry practices. These services include pruning, planting, mulching, firewood processing, and tree preservation techniques.
Stewart H. B. Stevens is the founder and owner of the company. He has been a professional arborist since 1974, and holds degrees in both forest and wildlife technology. As a retired real estate agent, Stewart also understands how trees add value to one’s home. He can provide tree and shrub appraisals.
Being a small business owner, Stewart is directly involved in the day-to-day workings of his business. He and property owners work together to implement a tree maintenance program. Whether to meet an immediate goal or to develop a long term plan, Habitat Services can help you care for your trees’ needs.
Habitat Services provides comprehensive tree care services in Keswick, Charlottesville, and Gordonsville, as well as Albemarle County, Louisa County and Orange County in Virginia.
Customer Review:
“I have been buying firewood from Stewart for more than 10 years. One of the things I appreciate most is that I can call him, agree on a couple of details and then rely on him to deliver the wood, stack it in the exactly right way in the carport, and remove any mess. I don’t have to be home and I always know that my winter’s worth of wood will appear in just the way Stewart promised. I recommend him without reservation. You can count on Stewart.”
